More than the earlier two yrs, I have fallen in love with them.
Ahead of the pandemic, I had only frequented a handful of them, primarily by incident. But after the pandemic strike, and it was risk-free enough to street-journey, I drove all all around the country traveling to them.
Now I’ve viewed 15 out of 63. And sometime, I’d like to see them all.
First, there was Redwood National Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…
Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling views of nuclear reactors…
Then Utah, household to some of the most effective nationwide parks in the region: I frequented Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
Immediately after Utah, I visited Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Warm Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is the place I live now.
Then there was Big Bend, Texas. The night sky is extraordinary there! You can see so many stars.
Followed by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…
And most not long ago, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier Countrywide Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even noticed mountain goats.
I sense so fortunate that I have gotten to see so a lot of our beautiful place in the past couple decades.
When I was younger, I centered only on international journey (this website isn’t named Ashley Abroad for nothin’). But in excess of the earlier two yrs, I’m joyful to report that I have received a newfound appreciation for my own yard.
It turns out you really don’t have to fly midway about the environment to go on an experience.
As for my preferred? It is a two-way tie between Redwood and Major Bend.
