THE ECLECTIC ART OF GALAL RAMADAN
Pompano Seaside Cultural Middle provides the solo exhibition Sideways: The Eclectic Art of Galal Ramadan, featuring colored pencil pictures produced by the award-winning Pompano Seaside visual artist. His intensive portfolio includes comprehensive portraits, and images of flowers, architecture and animals, and continue to lifes. “Ramadan’s unbelievable daily life-like drawings are so colourful, vibrant and comprehensive of gentle,” reported Phyllis Korab, Cultural Affairs Director. “These drawings are a window into his lifetime, and his broad knowledge of persons and scenes from about the earth.”
His work reveals a fascination with organic colors, and an appreciation of cultural issues and the standard components of art and lifetime. Ramadan describes his journey as a self-taught artist: “Right after my retirement in 2015, I acquired a set of forty-8 Prisma shade pencils and commenced to teach myself high-quality art. Inspired by the wonderful get the job done of the users of the CSPA (Colored Pencil Modern society of The us), I decided to test it. I was hooked immediately and joined the CSPA in February of 2017. My love of high-quality artwork, my appreciation of hues, and interest to depth, included depth to my experience. I tried using many creative mediums, but discovered that I beloved the versatility, precision, and adaptability of coloured pencil.” His work has been shown in juried solo and group exhibitions and he has been featured in a number of articles printed in worldwide art publications.
He was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt and now resides in Pompano Seashore, Florida. He teaches colored pencil classes and workshops at numerous areas in Broward and Palm Seashore counties and is an energetic member of a number of nationwide and worldwide artwork associations. His artwork Egypt, Historical past & Society was awarded 3rd put at Boca Raton Artists Guild Spring 2019 juried exhibition at ArtServe in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
